
Development Leader
Mwembo is an experienced Project Writer and Project Coordinator who worked with the Tanzania Red Cross on the Prevention of Contagious Diseases program in Kigoma–Mnarani. He also served with Caritas and Neighbors Without Borders in Kibirizi, Kigoma, from 2008 to 2012. Mwembo has over eight years of experience as a Substance Abuse Clinician within the Public Health Department in the United States. He is skilled in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies and is additionally a certified U.S. Immigration Forms Consultant and a licensed Life Insurance Agent.
Mwembo serves the community by transforming collective aspirations into well-structured initiatives with clearly defined goals, timelines, and measurable outcomes, ensuring that projects are both sustainable and impactful. As a leader, he is responsible for a wide range of duties focused on promoting growth, sustainability, and collaboration within the Kimwe Kye Bajoba USA community. He ensures that community fundraising activities are effectively planned and implemented and oversees the preparation and submission of grant and funding applications.
He conducts research to identify community needs and opportunities, evaluates program outcomes, and identifies areas for continuous improvement. Mwembo also plans and organizes fundraising events and campaigns to secure financial support from diverse sources, while building and maintaining strong relationships with donors and funding organizations. Additionally, he leads community needs assessments and develops and delivers programs that address those needs in alignment with the community’s overall goals and objectives.
